The European Championships has gotten underway in Glasgow, Scotland for the 2018 European Championships.
Lydia Boylan will represent Ireland on the track, competing on Monday 6th and Tuesday 7th August in the Omnium and Madison respectively. With qualifying for the 2020 Olympics starting at this event, Boylan has had her focus set on racing well at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome.
Elise Maes will pull on the Luxembourgish jersey in the road race, a hilly 130km circuit which will take place through the city streets of Glasgow on Sunday 5th August.
After her crash in the OVO Energy Women’s Tour, Hayley Simmonds will be back in action for the first time in seven and a half weeks, representing Great Britain in the time trial which takes place on Wednesday 8th August, with the distance just a little over 30km.
